His first talk show appearance was in 1981 on “The Merv Griffin Show.” Then he had a brief stint as a member on “The Morning Show” on CBS in early ‘1987, but it was his role as Danny Tanner on “Full House” that made him a household name for good.

The show was consistently ranked in the top 30 by Nielsen from its third season onward and was one of the most popular shows on television for several years.
