Birdman (Bryan Christopher Brooks) was born in 1969, on the 15th, of February in New Orleans, Louisiana. He went over a month without a name, and the moniker ‘Baby’ persisted with him till now.

Ronald “Slim” Williams is one of Birdman’s 10 brothers and twelve sisters. Ronald and Birdman are the co-founders of Cash Money Records. Tamara, one of Birdman’s sisters, was murdered in a vehicle accident in 2006. Because their mother died while they were young, Birdman reared his younger sister and considered her his child. Birdman was also close to his stepbrother Eldrick Wise, who was murdered in an unsolved homicide in 1991.
