He was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer in March 2019 and received extensive therapy. He had been cancer-free for one year as of March 2020. Unfortunately, Alex died from cancer in 2020, on the 8th, of November, at the age of 80, much to the surprise of the world.
