Quavious Keyaate Marshall was born on April 02, 1991, in Athens Georgia. The three members of Migos grew up together in Gwinnett County, a mostly suburban county half an hour northeast of Lawrenceville, Georgia Berkmar high school and was the starting quarterback for its football team during the 2009 season, his senior year.
Berkmar went 1-9 in the 2009 season and Quavo went 19-of-25 for 201 yards and three touchdowns for their first win of the season in Week 2. Quavo previously set the record by completing 28 pass attempts in a game back in 2009.

On April 18, 2017, authorities stopped a Migos concert at Georgia Southern University and arrested all three members of the group and several members of their entourages.
Quavo was charged with possession of an unspecified Schedule 2 narcotic, possession of drugs, possession of a firearm during a school safety zone, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
